2. Scope and Agreement

By using Heaper (the "Service"), you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Heaper lets you upload files (documents, videos, audio, images) and create/edit text documents online. Items can be organized with tags and linked. Optional sync is available via Heaper cloud or self-hosted backend.

4. Contract Formation

A contract is formed upon registration and confirmation via e‑mail.

5. Registration and Account

Accuracy: Provide accurate and complete information.
Security: Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for all actions under your account.
Notice: Inform us immediately of unauthorized use.

6. User Data and Privacy

Your use is subject to our Privacy Policy. GDPR legal bases apply as described there. You have rights to access, rectify, erase, and restrict processing.

7. User Content

Ownership: You retain all rights to your uploaded content ("User Content").
License: You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process and display content as necessary to operate and improve the Service.
Responsibility: You warrant you have all required rights and that your content complies with laws.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Do not upload illegal, offensive, defamatory or obscene content; violate laws; distribute malware; or access our systems without authorization.

9. Availability and Changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change; we may ship updates that are required to continue using the Service.

10. Liability

We are liable only for intent and gross negligence. For breach of essential obligations, liability is limited to foreseeable damages. We are not liable for data loss; keep backups.

11. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

Where applicable under EU law, consumers have a 14‑day right of withdrawal.

12. Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time.
By us: We may suspend or terminate for violations of these Terms or misuse.

13. Intellectual Property

Service Materials: Except User Content, materials we provide are our property and protected by copyright.
Trademarks: Shown marks are ours or third parties'.
