Views

Views show the same blocks in different layouts. A book can appear as a cover in Grid, a row in Table, an item in List, or an event in Calendar. Changing the view does not copy or move the block.

Choose a view

View	Use it for
Grid	Thumbnails, photos, videos, and visual browsing
Table	Comparing and editing properties in columns
List	A compact reading queue or simple collection
Tasks	Checklists, schedules, deadlines, and important items
Board	Moving work between tag-based lanes
Calendar	Events, deadlines, and other date properties
Graph	Exploring tag and mention connections

Create and switch views

Open the view switcher.
Select New View.
Select the new view again to open its settings.
Under App type, choose the layout.
Give the view a clear name, such as Unread books or This week.

The view switcher shows saved views as tabs. When the window is narrow, extra views move into the view menu.

Give each view a purpose

Each saved view can keep its own app type, filters, sorting, and app settings. For example, one Book collection can have:

A Grid view sorted by Created for browsing covers.
A Table view sorted by Rating for comparing books.
A List view filtered to books you have not read.
A Calendar view that uses Finished on as its date source.

Filters decide which blocks appear. Sorting decides their order. Global filters apply across views, while view-specific choices stay with the current view.
